The Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service (COPFS) is responsible for the prosecution of crime in Scotland, the investigation of sudden or suspicious deaths and complaints against the police. We work closely with our partners in the criminal justice system to help make Scotland a safer place.
The Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service
Strategic Aim - Our strategic aim is to provide an independent, modern prosecution service for the 21st century - committed to professional excellence, pursuing cases fairly and consistently in the public interest and being responsive to the public's needs.
With such an important role to play in serving the local community our people play an integral role in making this possible...
The Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service was first accredited as an Investor in People in 1996. We have been through subsequent assessment twice. COPFS remains committed to Investors in People (IiP) as a tool towards ensuring best practice in continuous organisational development within a framework for planning, strategy and action.
There is, in respect of the latest version of the IiP standard, launched in November 2004, more attention to cultural change and an emphasis on strong leadership throughout the management tiers of the organisation.
If you want a role where your contribution will really count then look no further than The Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service (COFPS)!
