SALARY : £35K - £45K plus benefits

FPSG's client, a world wide market leader in their field on a global scale are looking for an IT Security Manager to be based on their office on the outskirts of Glasgow.
THE ROLE

This role is pivotal to the running of the IT service.
The Security manager will be responsible for devising and developing Security policies as well as ensuring strategic development of control mechanisms to implement these policies.
The post will also be responsible for the management of all IT related Disaster Recovery and system resilience.
The post holder will be required to devise and maintain an ISO gap analysis and work towards compliance with the recommendations of this standard.
The role will require experience of IT Security systems as well as a good technical understand of general IT infrastructure especially with excellent knowledge of Symantec Anti Virus Practice.
You will be required to lead on all IT Security areas of the service at a strategy and advisory level with some hands on work required.
You will maintain responsibility for service continuity and compliance and proactively monitor the infrastructure to ensure protection against vulnerabilities. Working on specific projects you will deliver solutions on a range of business issues that have a high impact on the service offering, it is therefore essential that you have prior project management experience within a similar filed of work. You must have sound IT Security experience, matched by experience of Technical infrastructure and implementation.
