| Cosgrove Care require Sessional (casual) support workers to work as part of our 'Bank Staff' within our supported living services. ACCOUNTABLE TO: Service Manager - Supported Living Services SUMMARY OF DUTIES To participate in the delivery of a high quality service, maintaining Service Users individual rights whilst acknowledging the organisation’s responsibilities and processes. PROFESSIONAL 1. To be involved in the day to day delivery of support to each individual as stated in individual support plans. 2. To be aware at all times for the need for confidentiality in matters concerning service users and related issues. 3. To adhere to the operational policies of the organisation 4. To be familiar with and adhere to safety/security procedures and fire precautions. 5. To establish and maintain good relationships with the local community. 6. To be involved in reviews as directed by the Team Leader/Manager. 7. To attend staff development programmes within and out-with the organisation, including workshops, training courses seminars and conferences. 8. Actively participate as part of a large staff team, contributing to team meetings as required. SERVICE USER-BASED ACTIVITIES 1. To actively support service users in accessing and maintaining a lifestyle that is reflective of their individual personalities, strengths and ambitions. 2. To undertake a key worker role developing Life-plans with Individuals 3. To support service users in maintaining valued relationships 4. To support service users in actively participating in their community 5. Support service users in matters of personal care in a sensitive manner. GENERAL 1. Maintain documentation and records as is consistent with this grade of post. 2. Contribute to the health and safety of colleagues, visitors, service users and oneself. 3. To be available for meetings as is consistent with the grade of post. 4. To be part of Cosgrove Care’s commitment to the Investors in People Process. 5. To undertake any other dues nominated by the Team Leader/Manager as is consistent with this grade of post.
