| Job Title - Application Development Engineer Job profile Make calculation programs for analysis and selection of compressor products Develop procedures for modelling screw machines and systems as required Use of analytical and numerical methods to analyse existing and new designs Support Application group in evaluating and optimising special products and new products Preparation of specifying documents such as reports, drawings, bill of material, technical specification Take part in experimental verification of modelling tools, Give technical and IT support to the entire Engineering and R&D team Company Information Our client is a leading engineering, design and manufacturing company operating in Glasgow Experience & Qualifications Degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or IT Preferably a Masters degree Proven track record in preparing and integrating technical reports Excellent in the use of programming languages: Fortran, C++, Java, Visual Basic Good knowledge of thermodynamics and fluid mechanics Good knowledge in numerical methods and tools Understanding of design processes and systems Use of FEM and CFD software, preferably Fluent and ANSYS Basic use of 3D Design Tools such as AutoCAD/Inventor/ProEngineer Location: Glasgow Salary: Neg Apply online! dcumming@fpsg.co.uk Contact Details Contact Name:Dave Cumming Direct Dial:0141 270 5007 |
