| Immediate requirement for an Electrical Design Engineer. Our client are a respected and friendly private design practice based in Glasgow City Centre. They have a requirement at present for an electrical design engineer to join this office on a Freelance basis for an initial period of three months. This may well be extended if both parties are keen. You will be involved in a number of projects,one of which will involve the review and production of contractors designs for a large educational project in the west of Scotland. There is also a requirement for electrical surveys for a variety of properties. The role requires a candidate from a strong electrical background with a sound knowledge of design. Experience with design packages such as IES or cymap would be an advantage. Day-to-day duties would include: - Calculations for Lighting; power supply; intruder alarms and fire alarms and distribution. - Site meetings - Answering contractors design queries - Re-engineering works - Site Surveys. Applicants should preferably be degree educated and have worked with a design consultancy. However, individuals with Building Services electrical design knowledge will be considered. |
