| THE ROLE - Senior Mechanical Engineer, Location: Glasgow Term: Permanent COMPANY Our client, a leading engineering, design and manufacturing company operating in the Glasgow area QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE BSc Mechanical Engineering Minimum of 7 years relevant engineering experience Design experience & proven ability in:Rotating equipment design , Shaft dynamics analysis, Machining and casting manufacturing methods, Design from first principals Knowledge of assembly & testing of rotating equipment Technical lead role for mechanical section of the design department. Preparation of technical reports and presentations to customers Control of product development. Selection of major components. Supervision of performance & mechanical testing of blowers. Fault analysis & continual improvement of design Supervision of engineering team. Written and verbal communication skills Package equipment experience Gearbox design/specification experience |
