| THE ROLE - Mechanical Design Engineer Location: Glasgow Term: Permanent THE COMPANY Our client a leading engineering design and manufacturing company operating in Glasgow JOB DESCRIPTION Package equipment layout and detail design, sizing and draughting of rotating machinery equipment for process and petrochemical duties using 3-D AutoCAD or Autodesk Inventor. Specific job requirements Candidates will be expected to be familiar with some of the following:- ASME B31.3 Piping code ASME VIII/PD5500 Vessel codes Structural steel detailing Prepare/Interpret Piping & Instruction Diagrams Generation of BOMs using computerised systems General mechanical design skills Knowledge of rotating equipment Educational requirement: HNC level or equivalent in mechanical engineering Required Characteristics: Team Player Ability to work on own initiative Good problem solving skills Please contact Dave Cumming at: dcumming@fpsg.co.uk |
