| New Job : Design Engineer Job Location : Glasgow (Torrance/Balmore) Job Salary : Up to £32k + car (or car allowance), 28 days hols, Pension, Healthcare, Fuel card, Bonus, Sharesave, Flex Benefits etc. My client is part of one of the worlds leading construction companys and is involved in some of the most prestigious projects in the UK. As a consultancy service they design and construct foundations for all types of buildings, structures and civil engineering works. Due to continued expansion a vacancy has arisen for a design engineer (with a structural or geotechnical background) reporting to the design manager. The right applicant will be involved in the foundation and piling design for a number of high-profile projects which include stadia, retail, office and Healthcare. You will also be involved in: - Responding to technical queries from site - Checking designs prepared by other designers - Assist in Training junior engineers - Liaising with clients, contractors and Architects - Attend technical meetings - Interpret Site Investigation Reports The right applicant should be educated to at least HNC level (Civil Engineering) and have experience of structural design (foundation and piling preferable). The client is based in the Balmore area (roughly 10 mins North of Glasgow) and could suitcandidates living in that area of the City.
