Reporting to the Assistant Director, you will be responsible for leading, motivating and managing a team of Collectors, ensuring that departmental objectives are achieved and agreed service levels are met.
Key Responsibilities Include:
"Develop collections strategies for a variety of work queues.
"Review and plan team workloads to ensure the continuous delivery of agreed service levels.
"Recruit, train and develop Telephone Collectors to ensure that service levels are achieved.
"Review and assess individual and team performance on a regular basis to ensure objectives are achieved.
"Motivate individuals and team to encourage ongoing achievement of results, good morale and low labour turnover.
"Communicate and liase with team members, other departments and the management team; to facilitate effective communication of relevant issues within the department and with other areas of the business.
"Produce relevant and concise management information - e.g. Key Business Indicators.
"Adhere to HR policies and procedures ensuring a fair and consistent approach to managing your team.
Working Hours
35 hours per week - Required to work on a flexible shift pattern between Monday and Friday, 9am to 9pm and Saturday, 9am to 1pm.
THE COMPANY
First People Solutions Group require an experienced Collections Team Leader for our client, a leading retail consumer credit/finance organisation based in the southside of Glasgow.
EXPERIENCE
It is essential that you have a minimum of 2 years in a collections environment together with 2 years people management experience. In addition you will be an excellent communicator with strong influencing skills, you should be able to work well with your team but also have the ability and motivation to work on your own initiative.
