An award winning international multi-discipline consultant providing engineering, environmental, planning and management services to a diverse range of clients in both the public and private sectors are seeking to recruit a key individual to there team.
The Glasgow office is seeking a Senior CAD technician to work within the rail and heavy civils department. Applicants will be responsible for producing engineering drawings for a variety of schemes.
In the rail sector schemes include bridges, tunnels, stations, embankments and cuttings and drainage.
In the heavy civils sector work includes roads, marine and water/ sewerage.
There may be a requirement for some site works - doing surveys or site supervision. Although this is not expected to comprise a large part of the role (5 % to 10%) it would be a major advantage if the candidate could do this. Site supervision may be at weekend or at night in the rail sector.
The role would include the management of Junior CAD Technicians to ensure consistent application of standards and to direct resources to meet demand.
The right applicant will be competent with the use of CAD and preferably have experience in RC detailing. The role may be suitable for a Civil/Structural CAD technician who feels that they have come to the end ofa career path with there current company and may be seeking a new challenge. The job includes an excellent salary and benefits package and the opportunity to workon a variety of prestigious rail projects.
