| CIVIL/STRUCTURAL TECHNICIAN - GLASGOW £20K - £28K + contributory pension, discretionary company bonus, Health and Dental care, Life Insurance, 25 days holiday and a flexible working policy. The office is also a Glasgow city centre location. My client is an independent consultancy firm, with 3600 employees, operating worldwide. Our consulting services focus on the broad field of the interaction between people and their environment as a whole. There Maritime Division is renowned world wide for its industry expertise and are usually on the top of every clients list especially for major port and harbour projects. They have people based all over the world on either long term or short term projects and there team is growing fast due to there continued success in gaining and retaining new and long term clients. Reporting to the CAD Manager you will undertake the production of all types of CAD drawings, preferably including RC detailing and bending schedules, for projects from inception to completion, in accordance with the company's CAD standards. Key duties will include:- Processing of incoming data including drawings, schedules, photographs etc. Providing assistance with site surveys and inspections, and recording of information obtained. It is expected that following an initial period of in house training to become familiar with there working practises, you will be able to perform most tasks with minimal supervision and therefore take full responsibility for packages of work. You must be proficient in use of AutoCAD, be a competent CAD draughtsperson and come from a civil engineering background.
