New Job: Civil Engineer (Roads)
Job Area: Glasgow/Lanarkshire

CIVIL ENGINEER - GLASGOW - £24000 - £30000 + Free Parking, pension, healthcare, newly refurbished office.

My client employs over 8,000 people who are at the heart of everything they do. They are one of the UKs leading civil engineering consultancys and are continuing to grow.

Due to continued expansion they are keen on recruting an experienced Civil Engineer to undertake Roads Design Schemes and other highway related projects for a range of public and private sector clients and provide technical advice.

The candidate should:

Requirements
Chartered / Incorporated Engineer or working towards this,
Knowledge of DMRB standards,
Design experience in one or more of the following areas: Pavement design, drainage design, ground Investigation, Highway Design.
Good knowledge of Construction (Design and Management) regulations 2007
Conversant with Microsoft Office suite of programs
Ability to work with minimal supervision and deputise for Project Manager when required
Good Site experience would be desirable.
Full driving licence

Responsibilites include:

To undertake roads design and construction projects.
To undertake detailed design and implementation of roads minor improvement schemes
To undertake detailed design and implementation of roads structural maintenance schemes
Provide technical advice roads design to other engineers and project managers
Attend meetings with clients and third parties
Ensure Health, Safety and Environmental issues are given the highest priority.
