| Our client is a leading consultancy providing multi-disciplinary support services to all project stages from concept through to completion in The e Power Sector. Their Power Generation team in Glasgow is facing rapid expansion to meet the challenges of increasing asset management demand on existing power plant, plus development and build of new plant. The team covers the conventional, nuclear and renewable sectors. They are seeking an individual capable of taking on the operational management of the multi-disciplined engineering team to manage delivery of our current portfolio and assist in growing the business. Reporting through to the leader of our Power Generation Business, this role is likely to appeal to individuals who enjoy a large degree of autonomy and have a proven track record of delivering results. As Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the following: line management of staff, growing a multi-disciplined engineering team, interfacing with existing and potential clients to develop new business streams that ensure the success of the team managing the preparation and delivery of commercially sound proposals to tender requests managing all internal and external stakeholders. Candidates should have an Honours degree (or equivalent) in engineering or science related subject. You should have strong commercial awareness and a clear understanding of the requirements of engineering consultancy. Ability to successfully manage and deliver projects The ability to motivate and encourage your team to get the best results, with a strong track record in growing a team capability. Excellent client facing skills and problem solving abilities. Good communication skills. Ability to work both independently or as part of a varied team. Experience of the UK Power Industry would be a significant advantage.
