Job Description
A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen with one of Glasgow\' s premier organisations on an initial temporary basis with the view to moving permanent - dependant on performance.
Applicants for this role must have a solid transactional accounting background and be able to take accounts to trial balance and provide commentary on month end figures.
Duties of the role will include:
Processing of payables invoices
Match, batch and code invoices
Prepare and process payment runs
Maintaining the company cashbook and posting of payments received
Preparation of monthly intercompany recharge and reconciliations
Month end ledger reconciliation and raising of corresponding journals where required
Assisting with the completion of month end management accounts
Analysis of variances and budgetary re-forecasting
Ad hoc duties as required by management
This role will ideally suit an applicant with a strong transactional background in accounts that is looking to get more involved with month end duties but already has experience preparing accounts to trial balance. Applicants must be able to start at short notice and be willing to commit to an initial temporary contract.
