Job Description

Key Accountabilities: * Work in a team environment, contributing in various roles, defining and translating customer specifications into working silicon. * Design and verification of digital IP blocks. * Mixed signal simulation of digital and analog systems. * Interacting with physical design engineers on the requirements for chip layout * Product evaluation to ensure conformance with specification and customer requirements. * Support of test and product engineering in test and characterisation requirements * Plan, monitor and participate in the development and implementation of highly complex projects Basic Requirements: * Independent pursuit of complex design problems that will require extensive investigation * All aspects of the digital design and development of complex sub-systems for the Audio market. * Proficient in, and have extensive knowledge of, industry standard design tools inc., logic/circuit simulation, design verification and logic synthesis * In depth knowledge of HDL languages, Verilog/VHDL, synthesis techniques and low power design.and reuse methods * Competent in regression testing and DFT techniques. * Understanding of audio and computer architectures * Experienced in mixed signal simulation * Programming skills in Matlab, C or other * Understanding of digital bus standards and interface requirements * Knowledge of physical design requirements and constraints Additional desirable skills: * Knowledge of DSP modelling and design techniques * Understanding of audio concepts and systems and market * Low power and mobile market requirements * Basic understanding of analog circuit design
