Job Description
Superb opportunity to join our client, an award winning technical software company that specialises in the supply of IT solutions to the global oil and gas industry. Due to continued expansion an opportunity for a new Sales Engineer has arisen. The oil and gas industry is global and applicants must be prepared to travel. A good knowledge of physical sciences and mathematics is essential (backed by a degree in Physics, Chemistry or Elec/Mech Engineering or equivalent work experience on reservoir analysis) along with excellent presentation and communication skills. The position will be based in Glasgow and the sales area will include both North and South Americas plus Canada.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 1-2 years sales experience - preferably from the Oil and Gas sector (perhaps Instrumentation) and must be prepared to travel internationally. Any additional pre-sales experience would be helpful. There may be an opportunity for re-locating to a base in the sales area once fully trained and familiarised with the product should that be preferred.
