Hudson Global Resources are working with a leading Blue Chip Financial Service Provider based in Glasgow. As a result of business growth they are seeking to appoint an experienced Operational Risk Manager.
To be considered suitable for the role you will be degree educated or hold an equivalent qualification with a background and track record in Banking, Investment Management or Wealth Management.
The role will suit someone with Operational Risk or Audit experience who is familiar and comfortable in dealing with risk controls and assessments. The ability to analyse large amounts of risk related information, reviewing and challenging the work of others and providing feedback will be essential. The ability to work at pace under the pressure of delivery milestones will be an everyday part of working in a changing and advancing business.
The primary focus of the role is: -
Risk event management - logging of events / escalation to senior management / closing down events / challenging control issues / partnering on ensuring control issues are re-mediated
Risk / governance / control committees - MI / pack preparation / collation of infrastructure area returns / building reports on key control issues / themes
Audit - responsibility for tracking progress / delivery of audit recommendations across Wealth businesses representing a range of control issues - ensuring delivery in the line on time and escalation of any potential delivery issues
Business Partnering - Ability to partner / support risk and control type reviews assessing operational / broader controls end to end in business areas
