SENIOR PLANNER

Responsible to Planning Manager

Staff Supervision of Planners and Assistant Planners

Contacts

Various persons involved with procurement on behalf of clients;
Ie. Architects, Quantity Surveyors, Industrialists and Main sub-contractors representatives

Requirements
Design input to tenders and contracts

Input by contract staff, methods

Objectives

Obtain, either by tender or by negotiation, an adequate level of contract awards, with optimum time periods and efficient sequencing of work activities, to satisfy both health and safety procedures and requirements of the business plan

Main effective and positive contact with Clients, Suppliers and Sub-Contractors

Ensure progress records are kept on awarded contracts; forecast any time-related problems. Target key contracts, for enabled planning assistance with detailed monitoring or cost analysis

Main Purpose of the Role

To work with estimators, buyers, design staff and contract personnel, to prepare tender programmes associated with bid submissions, prepare master programmes and monitor progress
